Do you guys actually put whole large yabbies on the hook? Or just the tails, or what?
I imagine only big cod could take a whole yabbie or am I wrong?
Never used them as bait before

Nice one Dave :thumbsup:davek wrote:So we have 50 odd yabbies which compared to previous trips should be enough,
No real large ones but good bait size just the same, hopefully I can keep them alive, cheers davo.

Yes Kimtown, a full yabby hooked through the tail usually does the trick, maybe a couple of small ones hooked the same way on the one hook, the yellas love them, cheers davoKimtown wrote:Do you guys actually put whole large yabbies on the hook? Or just the tails, or what?

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

That makes freshwater fishing seem somewhat interesting to me, will have to try it someday as I can get a pretty much endless supply of yabbiesdavek wrote:Yes Kimtown, a full yabby hooked through the tail usually does the trick, maybe a couple of small ones hooked the same way on the one hook, the yellas love them, cheers davoKimtown wrote:Do you guys actually put whole large yabbies on the hook?
