Told Barmah Pete, we are either going to Strath creek or Barmah, next week.
Leaving Monday for a few days.
If we go to Barmah, I'll take the surf rod, otherwise, all light gear.
Cheese, worms and surface lures, I think (at Barmah)
Strath Creek I'll use unweighted worms & maybe some lures
Cheers Gra
I know it's Cod closed season

Re: Where to
Just be wary of what you use at Barmah Gra, even though you are not targeting cod fisheries would be dark on your choice of bait/lures, cheers davoTexas wrote:Told Barmah Pete, we are either going to Strath creek or Barmah, next week.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Good point there! If it comes across that you're chasing yellas, fisheries will be easier on you.davek wrote:Just be wary of what you use at Barmah Gra, even though you are not targeting cod fisheries would be dark on your choice of bait/lures, cheers davoTexas wrote:Told Barmah Pete, we are either going to Strath creek or Barmah, next week.

Are there still a few pigs kicking around in the forest up there, or have the numbers leaned off nowadays?

Re: Where to
Looks like Barmah (That's why he's called Barmah Pete)
Leave at 5am, breakfast at Elmore bakery
Pete's brother lives at Moama, so a coffee there
Then onto Barmah
Only taking the JW port hacking & a 7ft light rod
Still going to try unweighted worms and maybe cheese
What's the minimum size for turtles ????
I figure they smell better once cooked
