Barmah Lakes
Barmah Pete and myself are joining some residents of a Moama retirement village at Barmah Lakes on 30/11 to 3/12.
We really don't know where we are going, only that it has a drop toilet.
Google maps shows that the lakes are Victorian waters
Anyone know the area???
We know Barmah, but, not the lakes area, regarding which state it is
Thanks
Gra

It's a beautiful spot, and we caught yellas, bass, reddies, trout and carp. Would 10/10 go again, be sure to give it a go.

I wanted an id because I doubted it was a bass, due to its size. I had no idea bass grew that big.

Re: Barmah Lakes
Wem, by chance do you have any pics of the bass from the Barmah Lakes? A bass may be easily confused with a Silver perch if one is not experienced. I can tell silvers easy...yet I have never seen a bass in the flesh so would need to have a really good look at it. No disrespect meant to you but I have no idea what experience you have with the 'northern' natives.
If it was a bass you caught...it may have been an escapee from a stocked dam.
cheers

Re: Barmah Lakes
Afraid not, I have changed phones multiple times since 2013-2014 and I only back up pictures that I think are worth keeping. The bass was probably tiny so I wouldn't have kept a pic if I took oneApril Fool wrote:Wem, by chance do you have any pics of the bass from the Barmah Lakes?
