Snag fish
Extension for man overboard to grab onto
Hook onto jetty to pull boat in strong current
Tie towel to and wave for signalling
Retrieve crab pot buoys
Pushing away from jetty or another boat at the ramp

There's probably more uses but just off the top of my head I've used a gaff for the above purposes over the years.
Oh yes I read this pathetic post Hornet.
Snag fish.Pffft.Maybe you and others on here need a harpoon and winch for the monsters you catch.
Extension of man overboard.Yeah right.Be safer to use oar or fishing rod surely?
Tie towel for signalling.Couldnt use oar or fishing rod?
Hook onto jetty. Not many jetties in fresh but sure a hand works?
Retrieve crab pot or buoy.No crabs in fresh and definitely not crayvseason atm.
Pushing away from jetty or other boat.Again surely oar or bare hand safer?

I make that 6 love.New balls please and your serve Hornet
I write Pathetic posts you say ? I haven't seen anything intelligent from you since you joined, I don't think your going to be around here very long judging by the way you interact with the members.

Mods I think it's time to close this thread and ban Mr feral as he states " I could not care about interacting with you or any others on this forum who want to hold hands and tell each other how good yhey are." Classic Troll only here to stir trouble.
