Will let you know tomorrow when I get back how I went.

All the new reg's are in the Department of Primary Industries / Fisheries section on here. Nets are either 5 or 10 depends on where you are using them. Might pay to jump on the dpi website and brush up on all the reg's if you are thinking of heading out chasing them

Posted my results for the day in the 'Freshwater Crayfish" topic.
As for vic rules with crays, 10 hoop nets around southern Gippsland , as you go north past 'the great dividing range' , season rules change and also 5 hoop nets maximum. 2 cray bag limit all around everywhere else now too, 4 cray possession max limit all up ( can have 2 in the freezer at home plus catch another 2 fresh ones ).
From what I understand ? , Southern Gippsland has no off season cray rules (correct me if I'm wrong please !), but as you go above 'the great dividing range' ,Season is from start of june until end of august (which is a shame, as during November/December/January you can literally pick huge crays out of the river while wading for trout ! ).
Cheers , Rick
