Tinny for trout

Post by ifish83 » Fri Feb 28, 2014 11:08 am

Hey guys,

Hope you are all gearing up to go fishing this weekend.

I would love to take the tinny out tomorrow morning for some trout but not sure where to go.

Any suggestions of places to go 1 hour from CBD.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It has been fishing fairly well, browns and BIG reddies are biting as well as the odd rainbow.
The people catching the fish all seem to be using Pontoon 21 CrackJack lures, or if you prefer bait mudeyes are the go.
Stick to the rowing lanes or around the weedbeds.

Its a hard spot to fish landbased, a lot of weed and shallow areas around the edges.
However, best LB spots seems to be the start and the finish of the rowing course, the concrete area near Pipers Restaurant, and some of the small piers/jettys dotted around the lake...if you look at a map of it should should be able to make out which areas would be ok to fish.
