Agreed a yak is a good way but its not for me..i broke my coxis bone and cant sit in kayak for too long..much prefer the boat..

many areas we fish for gummies is a little shallow for boating - you would be surprised how many you catch in 2 feet on water
I'd definitely recommend giving a hobie with the vantage seat a go, super comfortable and if you pick the right hull you can stand up for a break as well.
