Patto

Went out on a mates boat Saturday. Launched at patto river and headed out the reef.

About half hour to hour for any real bites to come in. Started out with a few flatties between 28-34cm. Thought nothing much else was around. We were all using pillies as bait.

Stayed out sounding around with lines in and out for next couple of hours decided to mix it up with squid and pippies. Within 2 mins Snagged 6 undersized pinkies and about 20 undersized flatties. Caught few more flatties around the 36-38 cm size which were lunch.

The rest of the day we moved around and no luck on the pillies or squid but as soon as I dropped a pippie in the water it didn't hit the bottom before the line was tight.

All in all was a good day out on the bay in the sun with beer and rod in hand.

Yeah sorry no photos, was too busy soaking the sun and having a drink. Ripper weather and cracker of a day, even if most fish were given a second chance!!
