Hepburn lagoon
Hey all,
I ended up driving down here with my mate not too early this morning. Arrived at 10:30am.
With the weather being cold and overcast I thought it would be perfect to find some trout. I had Worms, Mudeyes and Powerbait plus a range of spinners and tassie devils. Though casting into a headwind was definitely not ideal.
After about 2 and a half hours I brought my rod in to find I had a 34cm Brown Trout on it. The disappointing part was because I was using a heavier set up to get the bait out a bit further I had no idea that I had a fish on my line until it was 1 metre away. It was caught with a worm on a small size 8 hook.
After another hour of nothing, two of my lines got completely tangled and with the wind not dying down we packed it up.
This was my first ever trout so I was somewhat pleased!
Cheers,
Lewis

yep still in place, though threat must be tailing off by now. I'm due to be at Eppalock in a week or too for weekend which still has an active warning, hopefully removed by then.
