hey buddy can i give some tips without sounding like a know it the same thing you can buy at anaconda for 50 cents in the pic is the hook i use its got a longer shank as soon has the float moves strike very rare i hook a gar deep if i do i use the surgical clamps you can pick them up off ebay pretty cheap

Great little idea. I'm always interested in little gismos. Just wondering how you went with the De-fush-hookerer? Did they work? And if they do, do they work on Tings.
I just love making my own , , , , anything , , , , I made two kids, that was fun

Yes they did work OK .Sometime hard as you have slippery slimy hands
Never used on Whiting as I use a Mustad 92608 Long Shank No4 Hook most times lip hooked
If swallowed a quick knife slit thru bottom jaw and easy to wriggle out
