So i did have a taste of some curried parrot fish
Verdict - 4/10 rating. Still eatable but maybe next time only a few will go back home if we catch this many
Still yet to prepare it a different way so will let you guys know about that as well.
Smiley. Dint think crumpet was having a go. Just pointing out that we missed the sand near mushroom reef.
Flinders bank is a bit further away which we went to and certainly found the flathead which is a dead giveaway of sand banks. But all of them were undersized or just size.
So we decided to move and target reefies mainly for the fun factor.
Next time we will try where crumpet has mentioned.
One of the strategies I have found is when the flatties are small head further deeper by another a 5mtrs, or put a burley pot down. About half of our catch was undersized and went back, anything not more than 5cm over legal went back as we were getting them within a few seconds of the bait hitting the ground. Squid strips worked very well
