Re: Paul carter?
hey Paul the cloths are very well made but why do they rust so easy was there a bad batch i have some yamashitas and harimitsus all used at the same time washed in freshwater after each session the yamshitas and harimitsus no rust but Gan Craft real bad rustecofreak wrote:I dont set the prices LOL. A lot comes down to material and volume - they are not pumped out in the millions so the buy price is higher, the cloth is not a regular commercial material and costs a bit more, weight and barb setting is done with pins so they dont fall apart so easy, every jig is pressure tested under water before being sent to china for packaging. They should be getting a little cheaper nowadays - only a little thoughNude up wrote:Hi paul I have seen you a few times on the tv, I love squid one of my favorite things to catch I only have one question I have a few gancraft jigs the kgw my favorite but why are they so expensiveecofreak wrote:I'm just your regular Joe, with a regular job
I'm your average white suburbanite slob
I like boxing and porno and books about war
I have an average house with a nice hardwood floor
I have my wife, my job, my kids and my car with feet on my table and a Cuban cigar.
But sometimes that just ain't enough to keep a man like me interested, eh eh, no way, uh ah. Yeah I've got to go out and have fun at a Calamari's expense oh yeah yeah yeah yeah.

For those who are yet to meet me I am a bloke that likes fishing and have dedicated a fair chunk of my life to it. I am employed by a company in Japan called Gan Craft in the product design and research area and also sub contract to a few other brands in Japan also. I have been involved with squid research in 3 countries have fished for squid in 5. To be honest I do more jigging and cod casting than squid fishing at the moment but still enjoy smashing a few here and there.

Re: Paul carter?
Fishing talks are always good to go to for beginners and seasoned anglers alike always something to learn.
For anyone asking for advice, how to’s etc when targeting squid listening to Paul you will get some worthwhile tips to set you on your way not to mention the host shop offering discounts on the night a feed of pizza and some fizzy drink for $10
For seasoned anglers there’s always new methods to learn.
This goes for any species based talk nights great way to fast track the learning curve.
