Re: Chinook salmon report
I was there Saturday arvo and into the evening, it was blowing it's arse out. I was flat line trolling for a bit and got a small one on a double clutch minnow, and got zero interest when I dropped the burley cage and bait fished with pillies. Didn't help that the sounder wasn't getting a return in more than 10m of water I guess.

Good video fellas. So what's the go with the downrigger clip and sinker....I take it if a decent fish hits the line is released and you lose the clip & sinker?

When the trout hit the lure it comes off the clip.
You can vary the depth off your lure easily.
There a must for fishing lakes in the summer and at the creator lakes.
Once you learn how to use them there worth 4 plus trout a trip...
You can put a heavy sinker on a handling and it does the same job
When I fish a lake like eldion I paint my bomb and have the cow bells off the bomb...works even better

Cool, I've used the winged sinkers just rigged inline but haven't tried this downrigger clip setup.
