Mornington Rocks

Post by trewy2428 » Fri Jul 13, 2018 7:55 pm

Decided to head down to the rocks around Mornington to try my luck on some squid. Caught a couple of squid early and decided to put some fresh rings out on some 2/0s and try my luck. Not a lot of interest however did land a very large port Jackson shark. Ended up with 8 squid, and two flatties around the 30cm mark.

On a side note, I recently found some cheap braid on amazon called GODLINE X8. Decided to try it out and was very pleasantly surprised. The 8 weave gives a very nice finish and had no problems with it. Zero wind knots despite a lot of casting, and colour retained very well. Well worth a look at.

Hoping to get out again this weekend, so hopefully more good news then.
