Bonnie Doon '18

Post by Brett » Sun Aug 12, 2018 3:33 pm

It's that time again :super:

Looking at the same as last year, the weekend after cup weekend, 9th, 10th and 11th Nov.

Where: Bonnie Doon Lakeside Leisure Resort https://www.bonniedoonlakeside.com

The fishing is usually outstanding from the banks of an evening or early morning and there is a boat ramp a stones throw from camp.

Any questions just post and the members who regularly attend should help out with answers :-D

Cheers, Brett.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

What's the general target species there? Redfin, yellowbelly, trout?

A great weekend away, even if it's blowing it's guts out
I think they caught more fish when it was windy (2016), than calm (2017)
If you young blokes want to get some tips, this is a good trip
The experts are Dave, truedogz, boony (Well his sons anyway), Barra Mick & matari
Brett, murlz are reasonable and myself, I need all the help we can get.
If your lucky there may be room on a boat
I can't say for sure, but, I'm keen.

Do jet skiiers and water sports bozos get annoying when patiently fishing at places like bonnie doon?

Edit: I just realized this is a forum event your organizing I thought you were just telling us about a trip that you do every year lol
