Snapper on the chew!!!

Post by Born2fish » Mon Oct 15, 2018 6:31 am

Hey guys pro team member eddy and i hit the water Saturday morning, looking for the first reds of the season. We launched the boat 4am and headed out to the 17m mark, when we arrived we sounded plenty of snapper. So we dropped anchor set the rack of baits as soon as the sun started to rise and tide change was same time. The rod buckled and ran before we knew it we were on to the first red of the season of 73cm ruffly 4.5 5 kg, not long after Landing the red eddy hooked up to a small snapper of 45 CM 1.5kg ish. Then mother nature decided to whip to 25kts was time to head in.
For info of what was used as in baits depth and more info head over to the website cheers guys.

Nice fish and great vid.

You are fishing a fair way from the ramp to hit 17m, Usually the fish are in the shallows in the early season for the warm water, this year must be different.
