Had a great day off Hasting yesterday morning, no target species caught, but more than happy with the bycatch. Caught this PB squid with a white sephia 3.0 jig using a Catana Egi/2500 sustain on 6kg mono without leader (right on slack tide) Had a crack at whiting, but the the salmon seemed to prefer the Reedys Rigz flashers baited with fresh squid, biggest just under 50cm and the Shimano Impact Nano XT nibble tip & 2500 Nasci did it with ease.

Stabicraft 1650...not the prettiest thing around, but it does the job :thumbsup:

Cheers gents...I can see why people love catching them now. Unlike the smaller versions that feel like your dragging in weed, the big ones go for runs & peel line off :thumbsup:
