Hi guys. Have run out of my spares for drag washers and have kept coming up in searches with Carbontex being the best to use, similar or the same as Penns tried and tested HT100. Had some old Penns yrs ago that used that and they had great drags. Theirs used to be a white material but im guessing this new black/dark grey is just the updated version. But I see various thickness and fineness of the sheets. Anyone had much experience using this and tried the differences in the thickness or fineness on reels to see any differences made? Im after it for use in light to medium spinning reels.
One other thing is I read of cheap copies of this stuff where they have a fibreglass core or sandwich of it with just a thin film of the carbon on the outsides and are rubbish. The proper Carbontex being carbon fibre all the way through. Who do you know that supplies the ridgy didge one please?
Cheers.

Downrigger shop. Give Andy Hestelow a ring top bloke, very helpful. Get the thinner stuff and build them up.

He’s also a member on here, but I’m not sure how often he drops in anymore.
