It will be interesting to see if this feature makes any noticeable difference to the forum. Hopefully it will increase the number of interesting, amusing and constructive posts and reduce the number which add nothing to the thread. Time will tell.

Will be interesting to see how this goes there will be people fishing for likes other anglers playing like avoidance as they are stuck in their own ego trip. Then there will be good bloke likers like me old mate Bugatti who wants to be positive and encouraging to everyone as well as instigator likes by some.

Awesome, the site needed something like this. Now if we could have a ranking system which ranks members according to how many "likes" they get instead of post count, the quality of the forum would rise sharply I think.

Just click on the "LIKES RECEIVED" text at the top of the column to sort by most likes received.

Actually, there is an option to display the "Has Liked" and "Likes Received" information underneath all user profiles like this:

Excellent!!! Can like a report without a 'nice fish' comment! One can also use it as a 'thank you' button if someone helps you.

An Author of a thread could also hit the "like" button for replies to the thread as a thank you for replying, instead of a reply post "thank-you" to each posted response.
Should help alleviate clutter.

You would think it would make a difference, even to alleviate clutter. And hopefully up the content, even if it is to fish for likes , , , , but again, at least you would think it would up the content as a result.

I don't see any reason to turn it off, the info can be found searching the Site anyway, and the post count shows up equally.

I get a lot of notifications of people liking posts.
Is it possible for the notifications are only for my posts? Like facebook.

There you go. It's showing notifications when other people like other people's posts.

I'm fairly sure your notifications are only related to your posts in this instance. (I liked a few of yours as a test)...

You can actually change your notification settings here under Board Preferences:
ucp.php?i=ucp_notifications&mode=notification_options

Just uncheck: Someone liked your post and Someone removed a like for your post

I understand read and unread but is there a Legend on the Site to denote what each different one means. They don't seem to show which ones I have posted on (or easier said as , , , , ones I haven't posted on )?
