oo I reckon it's worth the jump. I went into a store and the emeraldas is definitely a bit thicker, and I just felt like the MX was the way to go.

Well we essentially ate all of it - I was planning on keeping the head, but I tend to prefer using smaller heads for bait (since it's more of a hassle to clean the suckers off the smaller tentacles).

A lot of people at portsea in the evenings going for either gars, or maybe some mackerel (didn't take a close look). They were smashing them since peak high was about 30 mins after sunset, just off the little pier section on the RHS as you get on the pier.

Whambamsam, great choice! I have an Emeraldas Stoist/Certate combo and like you said; you feel everything even in average conditions.

They vary from 35-55cm give or take a few cm. Most of them are around the 1kg mark so about 40cm + but I have managed a couple of 53cm in the mix, awesome fun on soft plastics/slugs.

Nice salmon those. Great fun. I recently had plenty of reels screaming with monster truck size ones!
