Pinkie season is upon us... The school fish will end up in the same spots they always are every year and the real fish are currently in their usual spots and will soon fan out to get jiggy with the schoolies
When does the season usually start for you?
I haven't bothered for a fair while but to escape the hoards of school fish and the 3 months a year warriors that somehow have a boat licence usually start May and finish early October. Fish are consistently bigger, their feeding patterns are stupidly regular so a trip could be as quick as 2 hours from leaving the driveway to returning to the driveway, theres very very rarely a hold up at the ramp and your baits aren't smashed as quick as they are from October onwards by garbage fish. The spawning season is good for throwing big plastics on 6lb gear. It's about the only positive of the coming months
