The wife wants a new kitchen, original is now 33 years old.
I reackon it's ok except for using a spatula to keep the oven door closed.
Went to Fowlers auction in Clayton
Got cooktop, oven,rangehood & sink for $1750.
Not at auction, reserve & ?% commission
Damn good prices, I reackon. Picked out new kitchen taps, but at $900 (retail $3,000), I decided bunnings will do
Now for the cabinet maker, wife wants all draws. I prefer no draws, women anyway
Think I need to get away & just let her do it
My opinion is welcomed, but ignored

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Kitchens and bathrooms are always fun.. Save your marriage and let her sort it out.. Or don't and fish every day for the rest of your life a free man!

Re: New kitchen
Just be aware that drawers are far more expensive per carcass than cupboards. Especially the soft close types. I too liked all drawers till I saw the price delta. I don’t think drawers work in corner units either (for obvious reasons).
I’ve helped design and install a couple of kitchens now and you can save a lot if you’re confident in managing tradies and install your own flat pack carcasses, doors, drawers, hinges, handles, kickers. Basic tool skills required (it’s almost LEGO), just keep it level and square. Bench tops I leave to the pro’s and depending on what kind of splashback you’re after it can be DIY or pro install. I highly recommend the quality and service from Allboards.
