Anyway, where where you fishing, and are you talking about squid fishing.

Just out of patto.

We're targetting flatheads on sp
Can depend your drift speed, grab sea anchor from.bcf to slow you down.

Also cast in the direction of drift and will give jig head time to sink before boat drifts over it

i thought i'll ask here.....

My son just rang me to say he hooked up onto a roughly 1meter long fish but lost it close to the bank as he went to grab it. It had a red belly and he is fishing on the Goulburn river. What the hell could that have been?

Can anyone recommend a good 'bang for buck' 3000 size spinning reel want to take a loan for in, here. Currently I'm using a 4000 Abu Garcia spinning reel (which is great) . Need another reel now to match a second rod, I know shimano rarenium are reported to be an excellent reel but my budget won't stretch that far at the moment, any ideas would be appreciated

Shimano "sienna" series are budget reels and have some quality to them, I have several in different sizes and can't fault them for the price..

I don't find a difference between rigs if fish are on.

If slow I find a long running sinker leader works best
