Seems like we haven’t had many reports out of Altona lately. Anyone Bern catching anything?

I usually fish around Altona - when my no. 1 decky decides to come along. Last time was 3 weeks ago and we got our bag of decent gummies and the usual flatties mixed in.

How deep did you get the gummies?

I was there few days after new year, nothing but micro pinkies.

About 15m deep straight out from Altona, towards P2 :tu:
Berley up on the bottom with a cage, servo pillies on a paternoster rig.
I've found an hour any time of the tide change is best and they usually come through in a small school, so after the first catch we get one after the other.
It's been pretty consistent like that for the last few years.

Went down and had a look this morning. No boats out, looked terrible 😩. Was hoping to go out tomorrow morning but the forecast is looking even worse!

Did you go to the pier?
Wait for couple of days and pick a warm morning or evening. Usually there's always pinkies there and some flathead.

No. Went down to the boat ramp. Wanted to see how accurate the marine forecast was, and hoping to put boat in tomorrow but she’s only a little tinny. Don’t like me chances!
