I'm honestly surprised there isn't more of this happening with the amount of fisho trash you see left lying around.

They should do a better job of policing these waters.
Strewn condoms and people pulling pants up and walking away from behind bushes is the norm.
Might help with the water quality.

This past lockdown I have seen some things that I cant un-see.
There is always more to learn , fish to catch , places to see and friends to make.

I have been fishing with my wife quite a few times and am constantly picking up discarded fishing line, hooks and broken soft plastics, not to mention general rubbish such as beer cans/bottles etc.
Every single time we go out and I had this very conversation, if it keeps up they will just ban fishing all together.
All it takes is a photo of wildlife caught up in some discarded line and we will lose access.

Well Well Well
Dont know where you guys see the trash as down on the Bellarine its clean as.
Trail walkers will pick up stuff and put it in the bins provided.
I would hope people on this forum dont walk past trash -Pick it up and bin it

I call bull on this comment the Victorian Labor Government has been a big driver of recreational fishing in this State.

AJP: Animal Justice Party. Not the ALP.

And it's Darebin council we're talking about, a primarily Greens council.
