Re: anyone getting salmon?
I have had a crack at both Breamlea and Point Lonsdale back beach for donuts both times in the last two weeks. Saturday I was near Torquay for work and when I finished went down to JanJuc for a look, I had no fishing gear so just walked and there were a few bait fishos that hadn't caught anything either.
Maybe they are further up the coast or might just be one of those seasons.

Re: anyone getting salmon?
I am wondering if they migrate into Bass Strait based on the water temperature compared to the bay or something, and maybe it's still warm in the bay.KeenAds wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 7:00 pmI have had a crack at both Breamlea and Point Lonsdale back beach for donuts both times in the last two weeks. I think you may be completely right, it would make sense that they've yet to migrate as the north/mid bay is currently warmer than outside the heads.4liters wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 7:49 pmI am wondering if they migrate into Bass Strait based on the water temperature compared to the bay or something, and maybe it's still warm in the bay.KeenAds wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 7:00 pmI have had a crack at both Breamlea and Point Lonsdale back beach for donuts both times in the last two weeks. If that's correct, it may be a little while before the actively start moving compared to last year.

Re: anyone getting salmon?
Went down to Moggs Creek yesterday afternoon and walked towards Eastern view casting metal slugs up and back for donuts...
Would of walked about 500mm up as I was almost near the GOR sign and turned back. Spent about 3 hours all up and didn't get one strike. They must not be around at the moment anyone else having any luck?

Spoke to a couple of mates down the surf coast, they're saying that since the heads temps are now warmer than the bay that they've started to run.
Planning a week surf fishing my way from Barwon Heads down to Warrnambool in the next fortnight. Keen.
