How did you go targeting blackfish any luck?
Rb I hiked into a hard to get to area of the Bunyip River. I caught grayling and big eels but no blackies. I think the population was decimated by the black Thursday bushfires. They have been hit again with fires recently. Was great habitat:

The next day I fished a small stream and caught a number on lures and worms up to 45 cm:

Will target blackies more next season.

Thank you!

That is a LOT of casts for 17 fish but very impressive fish.

What size lure did the yella take?

Holy cod!
Suddenly I feel small... I am not worthy o Truedogz the Codmaster.
That is one quality report, I am speechless. Such inspiration.

Damn truedogz - what a return.

So much we cant control or influence, but we can always control how we choose to act and respond. Glad to hear it sounds like youve processed things, got perspective and you are choosing to pull yourself back up and be happy in the now.

From a personal standpoint - your posts and contributions have had a huge positive impact on my fishing and enjoyment (catching or not) of it - so thank you and i hope knowing that from a random internet stranger gives you something to smile about, cos its deserving

No I didn't read it all of the post
Will, you have heaps of knowledge and it should be shared
My next (planned) trip is to Chinamans lagoon at Cobrawonga
I know it's carp central, but, they're fish

Since the debacle at the Codference my closest friends have told me that I’ve changed, that I don’t mix with people and rarely smile. Its probably true after that let down, I know that I rarely get a good nights’ sleep now and have a very negative view of the future. I’ve come to accept that the dreams I had for some native fisheries are not going to happen and let go of them. So I live for the present.

I caught up with Dave and Brett at GoFish Nagambie who suggested I start posting again on FV and my best friends have encouraged me to do so.

So how did I go? Read the following posts ...

I have no idea about Freshwater fishing , , , , zip, nudda, niente, nought, nothing

But as far as, how did you go, Truedogz , , , , you did well , , , , you did very well indeed

And your mates , , , , they did admirably

This is what "fishing" is all about , , , , we are Fisherman , , , , not Catchermen.

Well done all round.

Cheers, Bill
