Currently snapper is like hard to catch sort of fish

No they are not overfished.

They are super easy to catch compared with years ago.

Arent you the bloke who complains about all the undersize pinkys stealing your bait they cant be overfished and in plague proportions
The fish are there just need to figure out what to do and when to catch them

I agree in the last month i have seen more snapper caught land based than i have seen years,including the one i caught the other day on salted blue bait from mario's baits in Geelong.

Hardly it's the reason I stopped fishing 18 months ago I just got sick of catching them .

Probably the easiest fish to catch out of Lakes Entrance. They have a huge area to live and breed and only a very small commercial catch quota. You will find that some years they are quiet in a particular area but that is because they are somewhere else. Fishing has always been about the right place at the right time. Some spots will fish well for several seasons then be no good for a while.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Are you guys talking about pinkies or snapper? I find snapper season a struggle every year....the amount of boat traffic on the bays is crazy & more often than not I come home with nothing. Things have got better, but I wouldnt say things are great
