Yeah I reckon I would Bleed it then take the head off at least.
If it was too big I'd fillet it keeping the carcass and see what fisheries say.
I've never met or seen fisheries ever while fishing (probably too early for them, might disturb their sleep in
Seen Water police a few times but they never stopped me.

I must be unlucky. I come across fisheries quite a bit. I see no problem with taking the head and tail fin off and just leaving the torso/body. that is the part that's measured.

Great report. Welshpool is my favourite place to fish and I have had a number of fun trips with quality gummies and flathead. Some of the local guys like Scoot H have been really generous with their local tips.
Scott has been a huge help for me too, got me onto a nice couple of snapper!

I agree with you too. Welshpool is quickly becoming my favourite place to fish. Soooo much more productive than WPB in almost every single facet. It's just a different world down there.

I see fisheries all the time too. Maybe just lucky.

Cracker of a day there Kimtown.

Great to see that you "explore" new grounds and are smart enough to know if it's a stay or go.

Great session on the snook and then the flatties , , , , and the sharks are always a heart pounder. Nice Gummy too and those toothies are elusive, hope you do land one of size sooner rather than painfully later.

But the best is , , , , getting a photo of the "one that got away".

Cheers, loved the report
