PS my shoe size is 42EU so that squid is over a foot long. Potentially there's gold in that boat at the end of the rainbow.

The 190 gram Freams LT 2000 fits perfectly with the Solpara rod, much better and well balanced compared to 235 gram Stradic FK 2500.

Yes there are some big ones out there at the moment.
My mate and I were swapping rods when he hooked a nice one, then I saw another big one behind it, I threw my jig and took it almost instantly, but also lost it almost instantly, lol. My mate's reel had the drag too tight and ripped the tentacle.
