Are they there yet
Monday and Tuesday this week looks okie dokie to try for Monster Squid at Lonsdale Bight -Queenscliff-I caught them this time last year.
Has anybody heard any info if they have turned up yet? :cheers:

This was posted by trellys week and a bit ago caught at Queenscliff. Was going to try Tuesday but wind didn’t drop till late

Dropped another 2 at boat

ive had a few follows from some monsters last few times, but havent been able to tempt them to take a jig yet.
are those squid boats part of the ban on netting, or do they get around it, since they are not netters as such? never seen them in the bay before.

Have you ever noticed the glow offshore queenscliff at night. The squid boats follow the squid between here and Tasmania I spoke with one boat in Hobart I recognised it from queenscliff there used to be lots of them but the marina forced them out due to the cost.
They swing out the boom arms which have lights on to attract the squid they just run plastic jigs

You would only need 1 or 2 at that size for a decent feed
