Re: Goulburn River for fathers day

Speaking as one, how did "the old man" do?

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

Given up on the aldi special reel already?
As a matter of interest which eclipse rod is that? It looks suspiciously like the one I'm using, but mine must be broken 'cos it doesn't catch as many carp. I must have a defective one.

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

I'm having similar issues with learning carp and elevated banks. Lost a couple and now they are flighty in these runs, and as soon as they alarm they set off the rest of the run. The trouble is creeping up means crawling in tiger snake central. Rocks and long grass make it hard to see them until you...

I've seen this with with other species such as trout. I've seen th...

Re: Diamond creek report

Diamond cleared a bit for a few weeks and the carp were receptive, quite hungry
Flows dropped to minimal over the last fortnight
Just this weekend it's back in black. it's turned black and stagnant again, worse than even before, ugly looking. And,no more carp sign.

Re: Diamond creek report

The creek cleaned up with dry weather somewhat and almost got to dirty brown
Then with the rain Friday and sat morning it went the colour of wet road asphalt worst I've seen in a long time. This flows into the Yarra at Eltham. I took pics:

Diamond creek report

Lower sections from above Eltham to end at Yarra shut down after the rain. Plenty is better, so is Merri. The rain seems to have once more washed sewerage into the creek - it's gone dark greyish again which it tends to after rain. Makes the Yarra look clean. Not silt, it's something else. Can't see ...
