Yeah these were on metal lures. There is a gutter along the beach , starts next to the eastern rock wall and runs all the way to the dredge out fall pipe. You can walk up there from the footbridge or get a boat over to the flagstaff jetty. Best time is after the change of the tide when the current ...

Thanks for the report re-tyred, I find it encouraging that some salmon have shown up. I lure fish Bunga beach regularly but they have been hard work so far. I don't personally fish for squid, but I do live in Lakes. There most certainly is squid at Lakes Entrance and they catch them from the Lakes footbridge.
