Re: Sorrento Pier 9/02/18
Anyone have any experience with wading out a little from the beach next to the pier?

Re: Soft Plastics
Haha it's ironic, I started throwing plastics because I thought they'd last longer but in the end there are times where I could flick em for about 15 minutes before I'm just casting a plastic blob... interestingly enough I've had days where the fish are aggressive enough to give the blob a bite! Opp...

Re: Soft Plastics
Opposite side of the bay I've had mixed luck on the SPs - Mornington Pier and Sorrento Pier.
Had tonnes of undersized pinkies in the space of an hour on em, then nothing. Also had quite a lot of moments where i had their tails eaten off thanks to the undersized fish.

Re: YouTube channels
Thanks everyone for great suggestions! I probably should've mentioned I'm more keen on the land fishing side since I'm boatless...haha
Watching people smash fish off their boats just makes me feel really sad.

YouTube channels
Anyone have recommendations for good YouTube channels for fishing in Victoria? All we have is landbased fishing (which is great), but that tends to focus on inner PPB as opposed to the peninsula/WPB.
Lots of channels based in the other states like sand flat, turtle king, etc.

Re: Sorrento Pier 9/02/18
Ha - not sure if I'd call it knowing what I'm doing, but at least with a bit of knowledge of when to go/seasonality. Going to give it another go soon! Awesome first report Whambamsam. Great to see someone do their homework, know what they are doing as a result and it payed decent results. A good siz...

Sorrento Pier 9/02/18
First contribution here to try to make up for the amount of reading I've put in the last few months. Headed over to Sorrento pier around noon after no success wandering the mangroves around Stony Point for sand crab. Not sure if I was just walking around the wrong spots there, but saw a post about s...

Recently hooked
Always liked fishing as a kid, but with very limited success except from charters with the family. Been hitting the piers down the mornington peninsula recently for the last month after doing heaps of reading on here with way more results - looking forward to learning more.
