Re: Animal welfare act
You're all good mate!
Yeah animal welfare is defintely an important one, however I feel that every time there is an attempt to have a reasonable discussion in relation to the hunting/fishing it's emotionaised.

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome
All wecome to join me punching out Sunday, maybe 10.30am off Clifton Springs.
Fish till lunch time depending on the bite.
Run in calm seas, overcast skies!
Chasing calamari and fish - the squid are getting larger, this 30cm model from last weekend shows that!

Re: Spinner Bait Collars Disintegrating - Seeking Advice
Yeah you're right it sound more like the rubber is breaking down rather than the interaction between the plastics.
They say with rubber store them in an air tight, dry, dark place - otherwise they end up cracking and becoming brittle.
I'd say replace them with maybe some fishing line, aluminium wire?

Yeah, has been keeping crystal clear which is aways nice.
Loving it now that I'm more confident in the kayak, loading it on the car, and being on the water.
Punching out weeky now which is great for fresh seafood!

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome
You’re tempting me! They look a similar size to what I was getting Easter Saturday. That’s my favourite jig, NAEBA often gets the job done. Haha! The small ones are fun, but it won't be long till we're puling in big hoods! My biggest there last year was a 48cm hood! The jig is solid and one my favo...

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome
Punched out Clifton Springs Sunday 7 April 2024, 7.00 - 9.00am. 2.5 - 3.0m, caught six calamari, kept five (gave one to a mate). All caught on the drift, still timid, red foil jig. Will be punching out this Saturday OR Sunday (Sunday looking nicer), 7am launch, all welcome to join. Cheers! IMG_6209....
