Black Rock 3/12

Fished for squid from black rock pier from around 6:30 pm to 9 pm, missing the high tide and fishing the outgoing... No luck today... did see one squid swim passed until someone jumped in the water and scared it off, big salmon was also seen swimming past the pier. So definitely fish out there, just...

Kilcunda 28/11

Hey guys, headed out today for an hour and a half drive arriving there around 6:30 am, missing the first light, bugger! Had always managed to catch some chunky salmon there on the first light and seem to be more of a rarity throughout the day. Was a pretty rough day with lots of seaweed but there we...

Re: Sandringham again 26/11

I'll go against the consensus on this one and say fishing sunrise/sunset is nice, but you really don't have too. As someone who strictly fished days and heads home well before it gets dark, you can catch plenty of species during the day. Snapper, kgw, calamari the lot. It's more about the ecosystem...

Re: Sandringham again 26/11

Hey guys so headed out to the Sandringham rockwall fishing into the beach side at the end around 11 am today and fished till 5 pm, absolutely zilch except for small baby salmon hovering around the burley. Also, some big puffers swimming around the rock wall. Was fishing from 1 hour before high tide...

I’ve caught some nice snapper off the end there in the past mate.
Better luck next time 😃
Cheers 👍🏻
I will give it another crack, assuming on pillies, how do you hook them up so they don't just fall off haha or if anyone else knows, let me know!
