Tailor Fish in the Maribyrnong.......

With the large amount of baitfish in the Maribyrnong and Docklands, no wonder the Tailor have started to move in, although they are still small in size. Hopefully people catch some larger ones.

Yeah I've had a few boaties say g'day and a bit of a chat when I'm on their pontoon. I don't fish within their mooring lines though so usually not too close to them. I have however seen line and hooks hanging off mooring lines and boats ... more so at north wharf than my usual spot. There's an old ...

Re: 41cm bream at the nong 1.1kg

Many drains running into it, water really reddish and slight smell in those spots. The main drain up past Anglers near the water board etc. apparently overflow the sewer into the Maribyrnong at times of heavy rain.

The rods a daiwa sw 18t telescopic 6ft. Picked it up at rays as the least crappy tele they had. Cant really google any info on them either but it does the job though and most importantly fits in the work backpack. The gen black rods look nice - I can see some in my future :) The tele lacks sensitiv...

Re: Anyone going landbased tonight ?

vicfab, try the rockwalls at the warmies. Casting out there can be hopeless unless you getting them right next to boats etc. Or you need to burley up the area, then cast in there. The Snapper can act like the Bream in and around Williamstown at times, sitting on the structure. You seem to be doing e...

Re: Land Based Fresh Water Fishing Melbourne/Vic ?

Been meaning to, but too busy with homework and stuff... smh Thanks for that. Might give it a hit soon. Good ...
