Altona 21/10

Launched down at Miller’s for the first time this season. Heaps of kayaks/boats. I was one of the few casting plastics. Mostly everyone else sitting and staring at bait rods, I didn’t find much on the sounder, that being said I steered clear of the multitude of burley trails and assorted lines. Didn...

Satanists, Yellas and a sacrifice

With the resumption of “covid normal” life , the city has truly woken up again. While some may prefer the quiets of Gippsland or the high country, there are some experiences that can only happen to you in the 3000 postcodes . This is such a tale. I pitter pattered down to Albert park, as I have on m...

I don’t care if they are stretched out a touch.

The Summer so far.........

I had a lot of time on my hands at the end of last year and i ended up honestly having some of the most amazing 4-5 weeks of fishing of my life. Instead of sitting at home and complaining about how i couldn't fly to France and drink a cocktail in front of some giant iron tree, I packed my calendar w...

Re: Maribyrnong River, 09/01/21

Mercury is an issue if you are consuming fish with higher levels on the reg. If you are eating the odd fish , I dont think it will be an issue .
Just try and not eat a 40 yr old bream for dinner every night and you should be good.

Australia day on the Flats

We headed into Gippsland this long weekend to see if we could get some bream fishing done off the kayak. Its been ages since I took the Hobie out or even fished for Bream in a serious way. This time without Alex to guide, i decided that it was time I try and really focus on the task at hand. Its bee...
