The weed is what provides refuge to a lot of the fish and aquatic fauna there. If you kill the weed, you'd kill the ecosystem. I cant speak to some of the other gunk ponds , but albert park is extremely healthy. There are fish to be caught in weedy lakes, sure your methods may need to vary but that ...

Plenty of pinkies, should we be raising the size limit?
I ventured out onto the bay on Sunday, looking for pinkies on plastics. 3inch paddle tails and turtleback worms with a 1/8th Jighead worked a treat. Caught heaps of fish . Just on legal. 28-29cm.
