Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

Sucks to hear about the anchor drama and loosing a combo Lenny! Rough way to end a session mate! Agreed with the comments on the wind, I let my place at 7.30am to 5km winds, reached the ramp five minutes later to 15km winds. The difference a few degrees in an easterly wind makes is crazy onshore vs ...

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

You’re tempting me! They look a similar size to what I was getting Easter Saturday. That’s my favourite jig, NAEBA often gets the job done. Haha! I can’t comment on whether investing in another EGI is worthwhile or not, however a tip I...

Punched out Saturday chasing some calamari,

Conditions were light clouds, glass out conditions with light breeze and a run-in tide.

Snagged five on the gold foil over 2-3m depth.

Clifton Springs Bag Out Calamari - 26 May 2024

Hey all, Sharing a quick fishing report following yesterday's success bagging out on calamari within the hour. The weather was perfect, with glass out conditions, a light NW breeze, run-in tide and full sun. There was some surface weed around the 2-3m mark, so punched out to 3-4m casting this slow s...
