Bait fishing for breams are soooooo easy, then they're 1000x harder on lures. I caught breams in Docklands years ago on TT switch blade...

Re: Beach fishing around PPB?
Hi All Since it's nearing winter and the salmon are beginning to show up, I wanted to have a go at fishing from the beach. It looks like heaps of fun, but since I'm in bayside and I don't have my own car yet getting to an ideal place like Gunnamatta or Venus bay is pretty much off the table unfortu...

Re: Trout lures/flies discussion
Some great info guys. I'm on a very steep learning curve reading this thread , , , , great thread. Re: Edge rods.
I think "worth" is a perspective commodity Jim. All to do with "intrinsic value", "appreciation" and "feel good". I have "decent" but basic (to some but awesome to others) rods & reels. Plus I have to have a few of each, to equip my kids too. I used to criticise the blokes who would spend mega buck...

If you're going in Nov Dec, have some elk hair caddis dry fly. During the day, I like nymph-ing in rivers. Get some br...
