Re: Clifton Springs Kayak - 20 January 24

I can say that I was genuinely impressed by the plastics, the stretch factor was great, the held the procure oil based scent well and the durability to have only lost a tail after ~20 fish was awesome. The whole day I used the single plastic with success on pinkies, kgw and bay trout. I've orded a f...

Re: Heading out Kayaking - All welcome

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.
I’ve decided to refer to the incident as a Baptism 😜

And I practiced my re-entry knowing I’m now capable of getting back on.

Pinkie season in full swing

Have been fishing along port Melbourne landbased recently as a change of scenery, have had good size 35-50cm pinkies or 40-70cm flatties every night of the past week on soft plastics and vibes. 0E880C0E-303C-40A9-8096-65EC779F38E1.jpeg Even on quiet nights I’ve been able to pull up 10+ fish and on g...

Tambo River mid week trip

Just spent a couple of evenings (Wed & Thurs 28 & 29 Feb) fishing the Tambo. Pretty tough going but managed a couple of Bream on local prawn. Both were caught at Wheelans. One was caught Wednesday at 7.10 pm and the other Thursday at 8.15 pm. Tried sandworm and got small bites but no takers. Tried a...

Saturday

Early (6am) launch at one the less busy bellarine ramps, pitch black motoring out and fished various spots at the end of the mussel farm for a steady flow of modest size kgw through the day. A dusting of flatties rounded out the catch, approx 28 whiting and 4 flatties in total. Mackerel, yakkas, and...

Re: Pic From Corner Inlet

Far as I can determine, 88 tonne quota divided between all commercial fishing in Victorian waters. So if they catch them , then they negotiate a price per kg , with someone who has quota not yet caught. The quota seller is then recorded at having used their quota and can't catch any. It's complicate...
