You would have spend longer cleaning off all that ink than it took to catch them lol. Was that over towards Clifton Springs? LOL, yeah it took twice as long to clean them then catch them. Hi guys looking to head offshore Sunday with the good weather chasing gumbos snapper etc. Going of Barwon heads and probably fish out the front of the bluff area. Slow arvo st Leonard’s

Fished st Leonard’s this arvo very slow fishing took 3 hours to get my 10 squid fished for ting once tide started did a few drops and didn’t get a bite. A bloke coming in as I was launching fished all morning for not one

Headed of st Leonard’s today in search of big squid got plenty before leaving to search for bigger ones tried Lonsdale bite for nothing then point Nepean for nothing then going back at Leonard’s for a couple more but decent size with one at 40cm hood and a few around 1kg. I've never fished that side of the bay. Do you have to go far for squid off the ramp there?
The squid grounds start 300m from st Leonard’s ramp and go all the way to swan bay and towards indented head

Leonard’s report

Fished st leaonards indented head area yesterday morning for some squid for bait collection ended up bagging out. Was tough going lots of little moves getting a few here and there. Then went to a few marks out wide for gumbos and didn’t even get a run. Full moon made it tough but amazing conditions ...

Clifton springs 26th sept

Went out this morning with 2 snapper rods 2 whiting rods and 2 squid setups hoping for a mixed bag. First 45 mins very quiet only 3 squid then went to chase the whiting got plenty but only 3 worth keeping and a few alright flatties then a quick one in the tide change for snapper sounded up good arch...

Snapper donuts

Headed out for my first snapper trip for the year yesterday arvo. Sounded heaps along Wilson’s spit channel missed three good hits but nothing. Used fresh squid and fresh salted pillies. Always next trip. Anyone been getting a few?
