Re: Corona Virus Part 3

Yes, all of this reduces the R0 transmission number. So does house lockdowns. Or avoiding contact with people in any way possible. It's all steps in the right direction and the more people who do it, the sooner we can ease up, at least on a state or national level. If only that were true mate. The ...

Re: Corona Virus Part 3

Should China Pay Reparations?

China chose to conceal from the world what was happening. Now the world is paying, with lives and wrecked economys.

China should pay and pay dearly.

Re: Corona Virus Part 3

The thing is with social distancing if it is user friendly then people will put up with it and abide by the principle longer, in fact it may have a long lasting effect on how people behave. If too tight then it cant be sustained as people will rebel and say stuff it, its just government control. The...

Re: Corona Virus Part 3

Bottom line is we have to develop a new normal to live with it for the near future, so the norm has to be some sort of palatable and functional norm that the public is on side with, and part of. Not going to happen if you just feel like inmates on parole.

Re: Any group pushing for a return to fishing

I find it unfortunate that in Victoria fishing and hunting is still considered as a recreational sport, while for many people all over the state both hunting and fishing is way of life. The ability to access, hunt and catch your own meat is a dependency for many and is echoed the further rural and o...

Re: Corona Virus Part 3

I reckon you could name 90% of world leaders who would change their response if given the chance. Trump for all of his faults has been trying to remain upbeat about the situation. If it looks like he is in a panic then I reckon the situation would be worse all over the world. Plus the fact that most...

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

Dictator Dan’s banning of fishing and boating while allowing other activities is arbitrary and inconsistent with the other states. It enrages me that Dictator Dan sees fit to put my life is on hold, I have a deep suspicion of the efforts to shut down daily life to slow the spread of corona virus, th...

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

Netting bans are as big a load of bull as Lisa Neville saying national cabinet said to restrict access to firearms and ammunition to non government permit holders under the guise of domestic violence prevention. The free ramps were already in the marine registration legislation regardless, let alone...

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

Quite a lot of people threatening to not vote for the party involved just because of a temporary ban on fishing and golfing for reasons which are pretty valid imo. I think fishing, bunting and camping would be a last priority for me when I will be voting. A bit of commonsense wouldnt go astray imo....

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

Talk up lots of danger and lots of fear, exaggerate using dud models based on dud Chinese data....then over react and then say.....see I saved you. :dn: Australia was never going to be America, or Italy, or Spain. Please show me how you came to this conclusion because literally all the actual data ...
