Re: Lesson Learned??

The 2013 elimination final was a top day indeed. Watched it again the other day on Foxtel, never get tired of it. Went to it as well, do you think I could find a Richmond supporter in the Cricketers Arms after the game? Certainly couldn’t find my mates, they were on the train when the final siren we...

Re: 5G conspiracy rubbish

The fact that we are talking about this tells me that the lockdown needs to be lifted and fast. Imagine what we will be talking about in a month or 2. The moon landing, JFK maybe 9/11 conspiracies. Need a line in the water pronto.😂

Re: Yabbies tell me somethings in the air

After reading different threads on here lately I’d say it has a lot to do with the 5G network.

Re: Corona Virus Part 3

I reckon you could name 90% of world leaders who would change their response if given the chance. Trump for all of his faults has been trying to remain upbeat about the situation. If it looks like he is in a panic then I reckon the situation would be worse all over the world. Plus the fact that most...

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

I’m still supporting the lockdown but I’m starting to buckle a bit. Supposed to be on a golf trip to Barooga this weekend which would’ve allowed time for a bit of fishing in the Murray. Instead I’m laying on the couch drinking beer. Not that I’m complaining about that. I’m going out on a limb here b...

Re: Fishing tackle technology over the years.

From what I’ve seen in tackle stores the term “ getting what you pay for” seems to ring true. Definitely I’ve noticed the weight of rods and reels has made huge improvements especially for blokes like Dougie banging big lures out all for hours on end. I think for me I’ve got to find middle ground on...

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

I’m at the mirage stage, wasn’t actually on the chart shown on this tread. When I cross Dandenong Creek on the way home and look at it, it starts shimmering and I imagine I’m fishing the mouth of the Noosa river in my boardies and beer in the esky chasing Flathead or Whiting. It’s becoming a problem.

Fishing tackle technology over the years.

I grew up fishing as a kid with the most basic fishing gear, probably like most on here. Had plenty of fish less days but also had some ripping days on the water. Then I stopped for 25 or so years and recently got the bug again. Now I watch blokes on YouTube and see all of the gear that was never ar...

Re: Fishing tackle technology over the years.

I used them in the 80s, they were all the rage north of Sydney I reckon. Very clunky to use but very durable. I like the look of them too and I’ve still got a couple but I’d probably never use them again.

Re: In The Line of Duty

It’s all speculation until the investigation is complete but slowing to 40 km on the freeway is fraught with danger. I reckon get to the off ramp at the bare minimum.
