I picked up one up from Aldi in the clearance bin for <$30 and came complete with clips and a bag and has been absolutely sensational. Boat is an 80' Savage Tasman 4.6m and sits out in the weather and it's been great for money.

RACV also do boat insurance now, bonus discounts if you have the cars, house and contents with them etc.

In my 60s now and ive had about 25 boats wood,glass and alloy. Best boat of the lot is the Quintrex 420 side console with a 40 hp 4 stroke I have now with the new blade hull.It out performs other alloy boats by far,I have a friend that has a bar crusher -I wouldnt rave about the ride in these guys -...

In my 60s now also getting old and feeble myself and in my 60s but changing from my kayak I would have to think about it - the Stealth profisha 525 is really one of the top off shore fishing skis I would maybe look at the shorter 475 profisha maybe in carbon fibre mainly for the weight reduction an...

My Haines hunter 5.2m is great for bay and offshore fishing. If I was upgrading it would be for something with a bit more fishing room maybe a Bass Strait ocean pro

Anything but aluminium I'm too old to get the s*** beat out of me these days and that includes bar crushes and yellow fins fibreglass all the way 5.6to 6.5 m and a 200 250hp minimum
