School Holiday Trout Biting
Got up to fish the sunrise this morning to make up for the donuts and drenching I received yesterday. Cast a few soft plastics and tassie devils around and soaked a few worms. After having missed multiple hits and losing a couple of lures to snags, I finally landed this fella at around 11. http://i6...

Re: I need advice for Albert Park trout
Yeah catch and release on a handline with bait is difficult, but the fish aren't safe for consumption and if he eats them he'll probably get sick. Re: In case you havent heard yet
Hey guys.
I'd like to offer a guided service to land based fishing at Gunnamatta.
Cast at the water. Reel it back in.
That'll be $400 each please.
Pick me up on the way and I'll have a long black no sugar.

Somewhere down an urban river
The mystery that surrounds Argyrosomus japonicus makes this arguably the most special fish to swim in our waters. The silver ghost ? Aptly named. Last season i put in some amount of time trying to get myself one. It was a steep learning curve. At times, I even wondered if they actually exist. When t...

Re: Targeting gars PPB
Hi all Planning on having my first saltwater session in a couple months this weekend, has anyone done/heard of people doing well catching gars around brighton, st kilda or lagoon pier recently? My intention was heading out in the afternoon and targeting some gars, then cutting them up or livelining...

Re: Targeting gars PPB
I have caught gars from all 3 of those piers you mentioned mate
Mordialloc is another very good one for lb gars.
Choose a nice calm day and take burley and silverfish for bait.
Good luck
