Hi there
Hi everybody, hope you're all catching. Came across this forum whilst searching for ideas on places to fish and thought it looked like a great place to talk fishing so here I am. My fishing background was mostly freshwater bait fishing with the odd deep sea charter back in England. Been here for 6 y...

Re: Sanctuary Lakes
Since I live in Point Cook, a couple of weeks ago I decided to give Sanctuary Lakes a go. As mentioned above there are not many land based areas to fish from but I didn't really find this a problem. Found 4 areas to the side of bridges that were fairly easy to flick some plastics. Started off with 2...

Re: Lakes Entrance landbased tips
Next to the rock wall at the entrance is a good spot for salmon. There is a possibility of a bream in the front lake as we are getting lots of dirty water down the rivers at the moment. Still KGW in the lake but be challenging without a boat. Mostly they are around kalimna and Fraser island. I had ...

Re: Lakes Entrance landbased tips
First day produced two undersized trevally and the smallest salmon ever on bait, nothing on plastics and lures. The Mrs. bagged out on the crabs in around 90 minutes.

Re: Lakes Entrance landbased tips
Day 3
23 mullet on 2" grubz. More crabs and a surprise sea horse in the crab net which was safely returned. All the mullet caught by the boat ramp just as you get onto Bullock Island. Lots of sand crabs from the jetty behind the Seafood Cafe. Had a great time and hope to be back in the warmer months.

Re: Werribee river 12/12/2020
That's a great session Sebb. Been fishing the river for a couple of months now all land based (soon to change. Pick up the kayak on friday) and the most I've had is 3 in a session (twice) with a best of 32cm. All on soft plastics except one on a cicada. Still searching for that elusive first Bass. H...

Re: Werribee river madness
Awesome catch. Was this above or below the weir? All above the weir, give Riversdale dve area a go Well it took me until October to get round to fishing the river but have been doing so regularly since then. Took a couple of sessions to get the hang of it but seem to be doing ok now. Had plenty of ...

Re: Surface fishing for EP's and Bass in Winter
Good to see the EPs getting caught as well. I've heard that the pomps have been working OK
