I might have to give WRG a swing once things lighten up. You can't go wrong with pellets and tuna oil and you're right about experimenting and seeing what works best. For bread and butter fish, i tend to keep the same rig basically until it breaks unless i visibly see a problem with it. Even to the point of using the same rig for multiple trips.
