Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
Well did a few hours at daylight till 9am at Wollaston bank. Started slow. Moved a few times. Found a patch of big one. Managed to pull 3 40cm + out of 7 hookups. The other 4 broke me off. One just as I had it at the net. Big run on one, I thought I had hooked a salmon or a kingfish. No chance on a ...

Few other boats about - all moving constantly so a hard day for all. The Usual Suspect i.e. the Marker man, had 8 for the morning most (6) by the re...

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
Fished multiple times over the last week with disappointing results compared to previous outings. After a donut day in Wollaston on Thu, motored up to the Barrier on Fri and watched on as others close by caught whilst I didn't, (what a difference 10 m makes) and then tried Flannagan's for nowt on th...

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
Gave my new (to me) tinny a try-out fishing around Fraser Is this morning ending up with no monsters but 7 KGW from 32 to 35 cm - all on prawn and ignored mussels, squid and clams - and one salmon. Returned another dozen or smaller whiting and the Toadies were a serious problem. After 4 hours no bai...

Old School Bream Fishing
I haven't posted much in the last twelve months or so, not that I haven't fished much but more so that I've been lazy about posting. It's been a strange year in the Snowy system. We've had flood after flood culminating in a major flood early in November. Lots of dirty water and cold water temperatur...

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
Managed to get down to beautiful Metung for a few days. Went out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. Went back to Woolaston bay and managed 4 medium whiting in 2 hours. Went back this morning and got 4 straight away and then nothing for next 2 hours. After lunch headed down towards Kalimna an...

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
I am away for a month. Last trip was offshore for flatties . Half doz nice ones in 17 MTR 5 mile west of the entrance. Plenty of bream under the town jetties . Caught 3 on mussels at the coast guard jetty last Thursday. Let them go as I don't eat bream. KGWs have been very quiet lately. You can get ...
